At the Sale is a wonderful tool conceptualized by our client, Hibiscus Stables, letting buyers at racehorse auctions track horses they may want to buy. Prior to auction, buyers are able to visit barns to see the horses they may be interested in. It’s a tough process keeping track of their options and having the details of each horse to make a proper assessment.
The At the Sale tool changes all that. Available online, so it’s accessible on a tablet, this bit of software puts all the information buyers need at their finger tips. A watch list lets them check off the horses they want with links to pedigree information, vet records, sire and mare stats, and so much more. Expandable barn lists let them know which consignors (sellers) are in each barn. And a results dashboard is available for completed sales, showing price comparisons and selling stats.
This is a truly invaluable tool that we had the opportunity of developing. It changes the way both buyers and sellers manage the racehorse auction process, and empowers buyers to make sound decisions … even if they’re purchasing racehorses from around the world.
